Walk over the rickety bamboo bridge in dry season (apparently they use a boat during rainy season), and this restaurant is directly to the left of the bridge. Delicious in-table Laotian BBQ. Fresh ingredients, fair price. Happy hour 2-for-1 cocktails! Great ambience- each table has its own hut with great views of the river. HIGHLY recommend.
The food here was really nice. So fresh and with subtle flavours. The setting was beautiful. The staff were efficient and polite. It was reasonably priced. What more could you ask for! Definitely worth crossing the bamboo bridge for.
Do cross the bamboo bridge, you will not be deceived. This is a very nicely set restaurant, with abordable prices, very attentive service and great food. And not speaking about the view and the decoration ! We had an excellent lao barbecue here and great cocktails.
A stroll in the dark over a lit bamboo bridge and we found this delightful riverside venue with low tables and floor seating stepped down the bank of the river. Beautiful low lighting gave the place a great ambience. Superb Lao food – the best sticky rice in Laos – and very reasonable prices
This place was handy to our lodging across the bamboo bridge from town, so we decided to give it a try. We’d had fancy Lao food at Tamarind, and this is slightly more modest (we didn’t go for their signature hot pot) but just as delicious.
We stopped in and had a lovely afternoon. We had a bottle of wine and Laotian snacks. We were relaxed, happy and the staff was attentive and helpful.
We visited this restaurant for dinner after walking past it on the way to the bamboo bridge. The service was friendly and the food was delicious, the red and green curries were a highlight!! The special coffees were a great end to the meal and we enjoyed it so much that we came back for our last night in Luang Prabang and booked the table at the bottom with great views over the river. Another wonderful night and a real highlight of our visit to the beautiful City.
